Saemidori - translating to “bright green” or “clear green”, is a premium japanese green tea used in the creation pof high end Senchas and gyokuros. It was engineered by crossing Yabukita and Asatsuyu cultivars and is known for its bright green color, sweetness, and low astringency making it one of the most highly sought out cultivars in tea. Mr. Matsumoto recommends using colder water as this is a higher end green tea.
